Calgon Carbon Corporation expanding operations in Allegheny County
Calgon Carbon Corporation is the world's largest manufacturer of activated carbon filtration products, used for air and water treatment (among 700 other applications). For their next phase of growth, they chose to invest $13.2 million to expand their activated carbon recycling plant and their equipment fabrication operations near Pittsburgh, creating 23 new, high-paying jobs and retaining 405 existing positions.
Mondi expands packaging manufacturing footprint in Southwest PA
Global sustainable packaging leader Mondi selected Southwest Pennsylvania for a major manufacturing expansion that will create approximately 170 new jobs. Pennsylvania competed against several other states to win the expansion project, including Kentucky, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, South Carolina, and Texas.
