Premier Brands picks PA for next manufacturing facility

The Commonwealth secured a $15 million investment from Premier Brands of America to open its first Pennsylvania manufacturing facility in Lackawanna County, supported by nearly $4 million in state funding. The company will repurpose the former Times-Tribune building in Scott Township, creating 58 new full-time jobs while expanding production of its health and wellness product lines. The project not only brings new life to a vacant industrial site but also enables Premier Brands to increase capacity, develop new products, and better serve growing customer demand.

Penn's Northeast (PNE) is the regional economic development agency for Northeastern Pennsylvania. They assist site selection consultants, real estate brokers, developers, and businesses seeking to expand or relocate to their 9-county region, which includes Carbon, Columbia, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Schuylkill, Wayne, and Wyoming counties.

Founded in 1964, Northeastern Pennsylvania (NEPA) Alliance, a regional community and economic development agency, serves seven counties within Northeast Pennsylvania including Carbon, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Schuylkill and Wayne. NEPA Alliance services include Federal and State grant assistance, business financing, government contracting assistance, international trade assistance, nonprofit assistance, transportation planning and research.

The Greater Wyoming Valley Chamber of Commerce (formerly known as the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce) is a member-driven organization representing hundreds of businesses and organizations, focused on helping its members grow and succeed in Northeast PA.

The Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce has been working on behalf of businesses in Lycoming County since 1885, and provides a broad range of economic development services to businesses in the community.

The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce is the largest business association in the region, with more than 1,400 member companies that represent various industries. The Chamber’s mission is to attract, sustain, and grow businesses and jobs throughout northeastern Pennsylvania.

The Pocono Mountains Economic Development Corporation (PMEDC) is a regional nonprofit organization that promotes economic growth and job creation in northeastern Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains region. It focuses on attracting and retaining businesses, supporting infrastructure development, and fostering sustainable economic vitality across Monroe County and surrounding areas.
