We look forward to creating a wide range of jobs for Pennsylvanians in the Lehigh Valley, and developing a facility and culture that allows people to enjoy coming to work each day.”

Pennsylvania's manufacturing industry produces everything from motorcycles to metal water bottles and has long been an attractive destination for global companies looking to expand their operations to the United States. Australian signage manufacturer Easy Signs realized there was a substantial demand for their products when they kept shipping products to U.S. customers, leading them to look towards establishing a foothold in a new market.
That's why in 2022, the company announced its plans to open a facility in Allentown, Pennsylvania — located in Lehigh Valley, a region that has seen continued economic growth over the past twenty years.
"With a focus on technology and continual innovation, we knew it would one day be ready to launch into a much larger market such as the U.S. That day has now arrived and we are thrilled to be establishing in Allentown,” said Andy Fryer, Co-Founder of Easy Signs, during the announcement of the project.
The move to Allentown was made possible through BusinessPA's direct support, which included $300,000 in initial grants and a $1 million Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA) loan in 2022, and additional loan support in 2023. BusinessPA's international investment experts worked closely with the company to understand their needs before supporting them and connecting them with additional regional partners. The company's expansion to Pennsylvania was enabled by the close assistance of the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation (LVEDC), who took company leadership on several site tours to help them find the perfect location.

By locating in Allentown, the company is within close proximity to other major markets and can take advantage of a robust infrastructure that allows it to ship its products across the United States. The company is also located in a region where active investment is taking place to grow the manufacturing workforce, through continued development of workforce training programs and apprenticeships by the Shapiro administration.
Today, Easy Signs is well on its way to its goal of hiring 130 employees, and as of 2024 already has over 50 employees working onsite in Pennsylvania. That comes after a substantial growth period - according to Australian publication Sprinter, the company not only doubled its sales from 2022 to 2023, but experienced an additional 50% growth from 2023 to 2024. They were even ranked as a Lehigh Valley Top Workplace in 2025 among their employees, earning a top spot among over 1,100 surveyed companies.
