GREGORY F. KRUG: Lampire got started by me showing up to the wrong place for a job interview in between my sophomore and junior year. I was supposed to be at a cattle farm and I ended up at a horse farm.

Lampire is a company that produces many variety of products and services to the life science industry The life science industry being the biotechnology, pharmaceutical diagnostics.

The inspiration was that here I could be working in my field, working with animals that I love and knowing that I was helping mankind.

Pennsylvania is a very unique location. There are other states that are very attractive to the life science industry, but they don't have the diversification that Pennsylvania does.

ZAC WERT: So, this is my office. This is where I come to work every day. We're on a 600-acre animal facility. The day can start from doing some bleeds on some animals, working with maybe some sick animals, doing physical exams to moving hay bales or baling hay, or who knows where it's going to take me.

ZAC: They support it!

Just to think that here in rural Bedford County, Pennsylvania, that we're making reagents

that are used for diabetes test kits, that one is actually used every 10 seconds on a global scale.

JENNIFER HALL: Not every day can an individual say that they're doing something that impacts human lives on a daily basis. Knowing from day to day that we are helping human life is just an amazing opportunity.

VINCENT MARIA: For myself, I come from out of state, so I'm originally from Maryland. I was able to find my home at the DeSales University. I was then able to see the opportunities and the cost of living that Pennsylvania has to offer.

Also, the area that we're in in Bedford County, I'm able to get to cities within an hour or two hours. So not only do I have the nice, small feel of a hometown, but I also am able to get to friends and family within a two-hour radius. That's important to me, and that's why I'm glad to call Pennsylvania home.

GREGORY: The biggest asset of any company is its employees. We need a very diverse group. This gives us the opportunity to really take advantage of the benefits of Pennsylvania, and having the opportunity to build a business here and really grow not just my business, but my family and develop the relationships I have, it’s second to none.

Pennsylvania helps Lampire get it done!
